Alex Lloyd is Lecturer in German at the University of Oxford. Her main research interests are in twentieth-century literature and film, particularly memories of childhood, war, and dictatorship. She has published on contemporary women’s writing, German-language cinema, and the material culture of childhood. Alex is also co-convenor of the Oxford Song Network, an interdisciplinary project exploring the interaction of music and words in the nineteenth- and twentieth-century European song tradition.
