Ulrike Draesner appointed Chair and Director of Leipzig Literaturinstitut

Ulrike Draesner, the first writer in residence at New College, Oxford, as part of the collaboration between MMP, TORCH and New College, will take over this year as Professor and Director of the Leipzig Literaturinstitut. The appointment was anounced during the Leipzig Book Fair. 

The Literary Insitute has a long and distinguished history, formally as the JR Becher Institut, and Draesner follows in a line of high-profile and distinguished Directors, including most recently Hans-Ulrich Treichel.
